We Are The Champions

November 11, 2010

Zach's football team played tonight for the Harnett County Midget Championship.  We played against Lillington and it was a tough game.  At the end of the first half it was tied 6 -6 and that remained the score through the rest of regulation.  We went into overtime where the ball is placed on the 10 yard line and each team is given 4 downs to try and score.  Lillington got the ball first and we stopped them and then they stopped us.  Now it is double overtime and we stopped "the bad guys" again.  It was our turn now and we scored on 2nd down and the cute kid did a dance down the sideline to stay in bounds.  It was AWESOME!!  The final score was 12 - 6 and it made sitting for 3 hours in the cold just fine!!  Congratulations Zach!!!

Gold Gorilla's Football Party

November 8, 2010

Lincoln's team got together at Pizza Hut to celebrate the really fun season they had.  Sean got the chance to help coach Lincoln's team and that was really cool.  These boys were so cute and full of energy...Pizza Hut will never be the same!

Football Boys

November 6, 2010

Today was Lincoln's last games for the season and Zach's last regular season game.  It was sooooo cold and it poured rain on us.  Both boys played really well even though they were both very wet and cold.  They were even good enough to stand together after the games so I could take their pictures :)  Aren't they cute!!

Sean's Birthday 2010

Sean took his birthday and the day after off!!  This is the first time off he has taken since moving here.  We spend two whole days together and had a blast.  We ate lunch with Lincoln, we went to the temple, and we took the boys to dinner at Applebee's.  And according to the boys the best part was the cake!!  Thanks to everyone who called, sent texts and cards too!!  We love you all :)

Halloween 2010

Thank you Nana for the wonderful Grim Reaper costume for Lincoln and for the great wig and face paint for Zach's Ace Freely!!!  Halloween was different this year.  It was on a Sunday and so we tried to go Trick-or-Treating on Saturday but were not very successful..oh well.  We had a ward Trunk-or-Treat and Chili Cook Off at the park which was way fun!  On Sunday we let the boys pass out the candy and we played games while enjoying our own treats!!  Check-out Zach's "I LOVE YOU"..He did that on purpose for all of you!!

Pumpkin Centers

I went to Lincoln's class to help with their fall celebration.  We participated in six different pumpkin centers where they painted, counted seeds, played games, and get this...frosted a rice cake and decorated it...YUM!  Lincoln just ate the frosting out of his little cup which made me laugh.  We did have a good time and it was fun to spend time with Lincoln.  Having Zach in middle school makes me miss doing these type of things with him!

Picking out Pumpkins

Last Monday I decided to follow this sign that pointed to a pumpkin patch to see how far away it really was and to see if it would be a fun place to go and get pumpkins to paint.  It turned out to be a very tiny patch, but very cute.  We took the boys to get their pumpkins and then came home to paint.  Lincoln continued with the KISS theme and Zach painted his like a giant M&M.  We had lots of fun!!
