Play Ball!!

April 18, 2011
Today was Lincoln's first baseball game. His team is the Ironbirds! They played a great game, but were loosing at the bottom of the third 10-12. Lincoln got up to bat and there were two other kids on base. Lincoln cracked a great hit all the way to the fence - HOMERUN! It was sooo awesome and you couldn't wipe the smile off his face! Isn't he just darling!!! This kid loves baseball!

Easter from Grandparents!

April 2011

Thanks to our wonderful grandparents who always make sure Zach and Lincoln enjoy every holiday! Gram and Papa sent us easter eggs so we could join in on the annual hunt! Nana and Papa Steve sent us some snappy looking shirts for easter and cute little duck that sings to you and if you tickle the duck under its' wings it starts to giggle...Sean just loves this! Grandpa and Grandma Ihler sent some cool hacky sacks that look like footballs, baseballs, and basketballs along with the boys' favorite choclate candy bars! Thanks so much everyone!

Zach's Priesthood Ordination

Today was a very special day. Zach had the Aaronic Priesthood confired upon him and he was ordained to the office of a Deacon. We were so grateful that Gram, Papa, and Nana were here with us. It was so special to see Sean perform this priesthood blessing for Zach, and we brought Lincoln in to be with us too! We were also able to be there when Sean was set-apart as the 1st counselor in the Elder's Quorum. This was such a special day and one I will always remember! I am so grateful for the priesthood that blesses my family!

Zach's 12th Birthday

We started the day with birthday eggs for breakfast! Nana flew in today and that made it all the more special! Papa took Zach and his friend Cameron golfing at Pelican's and enjoyed ice cream afterwards! We ate Gram's grilled chicken for birthday dinner at Zach's request! Presents and Double Fudge Cake topped the day off! We love our Zach and are so proud of the great young man he is!

Today we finished with the sod and the screened porch!! It has been a long week of working, but we are able to sit back and enjoy it now! One last project is to finish the extended patio, but that will take a little more time. Papa and Sean worked hard and we put the boys to work laying sod! Thanks to all our helpers!

Rocket Run 2011

Lincoln's school did a Rocket Run for Technology! We ran laps to raise money for some new technology to be brought to their school. It was lots of fun!

Missionary Family Home Evening

We had the missionaries over for dinner as a pre-thank you for coming to help us lay sod on Friday :) We grilled burgers and Lincoln taught our Easter FHE lesson with the easter eggs. It was a really great night!

Priesthood Session

Sean got to take Zach to his first priesthood session of conference. Papa was here to go too! I am so thankful for wonderful traditions!

Visit from Gram and Papa

April 1, 2011 - April 11, 2011
We had so much excitement even at 11:00pm when we went to pick Gram and Papa up from the airport! They came to spend a week with us! We finished our yard, screened our porch and celebrated Zach's 12th birthday! Nana came in from the 9th - 13th and added even more excitement! We had a wonderful week and it was so fun to see everyone and to laugh and have movie nights together! We went to both Zach's and Lincoln's schools and ate lunch with them. We also took a trip into Raleigh and ate lunch with Sean! We were sooo grateful for the help in finishing our yard! We have such wonderful families and we love them tons! Thanks for coming to visit!

Flowers and a Note

When I opened Lincoln's school folder today there were flowers stuffed inside with a note. I asked Lincoln about them and he said, " I picked these for you at recess!" It made my heart melt! I love my boys!

Happy Anniversary

March 14, 2011

Sean and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary today. I never thought I would be in North Carolina! He was great and surprised me by coming home early and brought me flowers too - he is a good boy! We enjoyed going out to dinner while our sweet neighbors watched our boys. We are so grateful for each other and look forward to many more anniversaries!
