Christmas 2010

We have never traveled for Christmas, but this year we went to Kansas City, MO to be with Nana and Papa Steve!! We had the best time!! Nana and Papa Steve had worked hard to make sure we all had a wonderful time! The boys were great travelers and we enjoyed swimming at the pool in the hotel!  We roasted hotdogs and made smores for dinner one night, we made sugar cookies, Nana read Christmas stories, we enjoyed the Christmas Eve tradition of going to a movie and to Wendy's, we all ate way too much of Nana's wonderful cooking and yummy treats, and we stayed up late talking and laughing!!! We were all very excited to meet our newest little nephew (on Sean's side) LOGAN...so cute!!! We played games and had a wonderful time...We missed Brett and Ashley and were excited to talk to them on the phone! We loved having Wyett, Marlo, Ellie and Mallory there to share Christmas morning!!  Santa didn't disappoint and the boys were thrilled with their gifts!!! We feel so grateful to have  been able to spend a wonderful time with our family!! We loved being able to skype with family in Utah and are very grateful for technology!! Christmas 2010 is one that we will never forget!!!

Christmas Caroling at Crabtree Valley Mall

December 14, 2010

Today Zach's music class took a field trip to the Crabtree Valley Mall to sing Christmas Carols.  I took Lincoln out of school to come with me and go watch.  The class sang some beautiful songs and we loved joining in to sing Hark the Harold Angels and Silent Night.  Zach looked so cute in his Santa hat! Now all he has to learn to do is move his lips when he sings and maybe smile every once in a while :)  When we got done we ate lunch and one of Zach's friends joined us.  We made sure to get a Mrs. Field's cookie and stopped by the Lego store too!  We had a really fun day!!

Lincoln's Eagles Hat

December 13, 2010

In Lincoln's art class they made a "celebration headdress".  The kids could celebrate anything that they wanted and Lincoln choose his Philadelphia Eagles!  The black pieces on each side of the hat are wings and the yellow piece off the front is the beak...and yes the beak has blood on it because according to Lincoln, "the eagle just got done eating a fish!" I love his imagination!

The Polar Express

December 12, 2010

Each year Gram and Papa send their grandkids on the Polar Express to the North Pole.  We decorate our train cars, get new pajamas and enjoy chocolate milk and cookies while Papa reads the story.  We were so excited to be able to enjoy this tradition with the help of Skype!  Sean hooked up his computer to our television so it made it fun to be able to see everyone and share this together!  As you can see in the pictures...I am not sure that Zach is going to fit in a box next year...unless it is a refridgerator box!! After we were all done, Papa played the drums and we all danced "together" !!! (Sean even got up and boogied!)  We had a really great night!!!
