Father's Day 2011

Father's Day is great and my boys have a wonderful dad!! They blind-folded him and brought him out to the kitchen for breakfast. They made some great gifts for him and we had a wonderful day together. Zach even gave his first talk in Sacrament meeting today and made his dad (and mom) very proud! We love all our Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, Brothers - All of our wonderful Dads!!

Fishing at Bass Lake

Sean took the boys fishing at Bass Lake which is only about 10min from our house. It is great little lake where you can catch catfish, bluegill and crappie.  The boys and Sean had a blast!

Mid-West All-Star Team

Lincoln picked this picture!

Lincoln was nominated by his coach to the All-Star Team. Each coach got to pick 2-3 boys from his team. On Saturday Lincoln went to a 2 hour tryout for the travel teams that are chosen from the boys who made All-Stars. All of the  boys who made All-Stars were divided into 4 teams of 9 players and then they played a game against each other. Lincoln was on the Mid-West All-Star Team. They played the Mid-Atlantic All-Star Team. These boys did great! Lincoln hit well and played lots of different positions! It was so fun to watch, but the best was the permanent grin on Lincoln's face.  The game stayed tied through the first 4 innings and in the 5th inning there was no run limit and we ended up winning 19-16. They gave each player a certificate. Way to go Lincoln!!!

Summer Package

Nana and Papa Steve sent us our annual summer package filled with all the summer essentials! Water balloons, water toys, and bandaids!! We also got some fun t-shirts from their recent trip! All 3 boys got shirts from the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame with the famous quote "If it's too Loud, you're too Old!" on the back. This is Sean's favorite saying! I got one from Notre Dame! Thanks so much Nana and Papa!

Field Day and Field Trip

June 2-3, 2011
On June 2nd Zach went on a very cool field trip with his school and also with the Carolina Ocean Studies. They spent the day at the Outerbanks where they studied ocean life and got to go deep sea fishing. Zach loved every minute, but his favorite was when he caught a 3ft long Lemon Shark. They weren't able to take pictures cause they had to get what they caught back in the water. Way to go Zach!

June 3rd was field day at Lincoln's school. I went and got to go to all the stations with him and his class and play the games. It was a beautiful day...not too hot...YAY!! Lincoln's favorite game was the crazy ring toss!

Boy's Night!!

The boys got to invite a friend to sleepover and then go swimming for the Memorial Day weekend. Zach choose his friend Will and Lincoln choose his friend Liam and his little brother Zander too! They were great and we had so much fun! Movie and popcorn, pancakes, and swimming...what's not to love!

I awoke to some noise coming from the kitchen and realized it was my boys. From the sounds I realized they were making me breakfast, so I sent Sean to check. They were so cute and came in with a warm english muffin, a banana, and a glass of apple juice. They did this all on their own so it was really special! I also enjoyed a yummy dinner with our friends the Ellett's. Sean and Zac planned the whole thing and Suzie and I didn't have to lift a finger. We had a great time and enjoyed watching a kids be silly and sweet!
