St. Patrick's Day Treasure Hunt

Thanks to Gram and Papa and the amazing technology of Skype we were able to enjoy a "green" lunch and treasure hunt with our cousins! We had lots of fun and loved being able to see and talk with everyone! Thank you to Gram and Papa for always keeping us a part of family traditions!

Unexpected Visitors

Zach and I were at home when Zach spotted some unexpected visitors in our backyard. They even let us go out onto our porch and take a closer look..pretty cool!

Upward Basketball Awards Night

Tonight was the Awards Night for Upward Basketball.  We were excited to see our friends from the boys' teams. They had a magic show and Lincoln was picked to be an assistant! They gave all the players a really cool backpack as their "award". It was a really fun night!

February 26, 2011

Basketball season came to an end today. We had so much fun! Lincoln and his team the "Komoto Dragons" got better and better and did great! Even though they didn't keep score of his games, Zach was taking care of that for his little brother and let him know how many point he'd scored each game! Zach's team "the Lakers" went undefeated! Zach got better and better too and so did all the players on his team! Both of our coaches were AWESOME and I am so grateful for this experience! We celebrated our success and the great friendships we made by going to get some dinner after the last game! The head coach's wife made a cake for the boys! We have loved this basketball season!

Blue and Gold Banquet

We had our Blue, Gold and "Green" Banquet tonight. The theme was about taking care of our earth and the boys made some wonderful placemats made out of cereal boxes and our table decorations were made from recycled items too! The boys did some great skits and we enjoyed a yummy spaghetti dinner! What a fun night!

When I took Lincoln back to school after Zach's breakfast and assembly, Lincoln showed me his "Stellar Star" that he got for showing Integrity! Good Job Lincoln!

Straight A's

At Zach's school they held a celebration breakfast for all the students who earned straight A's for the second term. Sean was in Lexington so Lincoln came with me as my "date". We ate breakfast and then went to awards assembly where they were recognized among all the 6th graders at the school! I am so proud of both my cute boys and the amazing job they are doing in school and in life!

Grandpa and Grandma Ihler Visit

We had sooo much fun having Grandpa and Grandma Ihler here for a visit! We loved showing them around and letting them see what life is like here in NC! We took them to the boys basketball games. Zach had a flag football tournament and Lincoln got to participate in the punt-pass-kick challenge. We enjoyed dinner at a small local resturant named Cooley's and the boys made sure we took a trip to Dunkin' Donuts! We loved having them visit! Thanks for coming Grandpa and Grandma! We love you!

Valentines 2011

We loved the wonderful valentine packages and cards we received from all of our wonderful family! We enjoyed pink heart-shaped pancakes and sausages for dinner! I love Valentines day cause it is just another great excuse to tell our family and friends how much we love you all!!!
